Adult Sergeant Dave Clark

Dave joined 162 during his teenage years and obtained the rank of Cadet Sergeant before leaving. He became a regular in the Army at the age of 16, and served seven years as a Lance Corporal in the Royal Engineers.

Dave returned to the squadron in January 2005 as a Civilian Instructor, and was officially appointed as an Adult Sergeant in December 2005.



Civilian Instructor Stuart Moakes

Currently on squadron I am the training officer for which I prepare the squadron training programme and ensure that training objectives are achieved. I also run the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award on the sqn. I am the adventure training officer and plan the programme for adventurous activities off the sqn. I am also the Corporate Communications Officer and ensure that the corps communicates positively with the local press.

Flight Leiutenant Andy Holden

Andy joined the ATC in 2000 as a Civilian Instructor, and was appointed as an Adult Warrant Officer (AWO) in November 2001. He later gained his commission to Pilot Officer RAF VR(T) in December 2004.

Andy is currently the Squadron Officer with responsibility for Health and Safety, and the day to day running of the Squadron. He is a qualified Weapons Instructor, and First Aider.

Civilian Instructor Trevor Cox

Trevor joined the squadron in the mid 80s. After several years cadet service, he joined the squadron staff as a Civilian Instructor in 1990.

At present Trevor is the squadron adjutant - dealing with squadron administration and paperwork. Trevor is also an RCO (Range Conducting Officer) and qualified weapons instructor - responsible for running squadron shooting practices, and ensuring that cadets are taught how to handle weapons correctly.
